Island Sailing is proud to be a fully accredited American Sailing Association sailing school. All of our instructors are licensed by the Unites States Coast Guard and have earned their instructor certifications from the American Sailing Association. All instructors also have real life cruising experience, have sailed thousands of miles all over the world, and they are heavily involved in our boating community.

ASA represents the largest and most trusted network of schools in the United States. Earning an ASA certification proves your sailing ability to the world and it gives you the confidence to maximize your sailing experience.

At Island Sailing we believe the “industry standard” 16-hour, two-day beginning course is too short and too fast. We have expanded our beginning course to 24 hours distributed across four class sessions to improve your learning experience.

Give yourself the time you deserve, and give sailing the time it deserves.

“That which we persist in doing becomes easier for us to do; not that the nature of the thing itself is changed, but that our power to do is increased.”

— Ralph Waldo Emerson
