FAQs

WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT COVID POLICY?

To keep all of our guests, staff and members safe in response to COVID-19, while still being able to provide our services, we are currently structuring our classes in a form of private lesson (but not at private rates). The class, when you book, will be reserved entirely for you and up to two additional students who are already in your inner circle (family, friends, partners). We limit our boats to skipper plus 3, and we strongly encourage all sailors to wear a mask on and off vessels (especially indoors and where social distancing isn't possible). Considering the size of the class boat and with regards that sailing is an outdoor activity, our instructors strive to provide as much social distancing as possible aboard the vessel.

IS THE CERTIFICATION INCLUDED IN THE COST?

Yes. This is a fully certified ASA course and upon completion you will be given formal certification from the American Sailing Association. This and all curriculum materials are included in the cost of the class.

WHAT IS AN AUDIT?

We offer an audit rate and encourage "auditing", as this will allow those of you who have a partner or family member or friend (with whom you are already sharing space) to come along for the class to learn as much as they would like without seeking certification. This is a great way to start sailing together with one person becoming the "certified skipper" and the other getting a great introduction to the learning goals while they ride along! (If considering a family member under 16 years of age please contact us to discuss the possibilities.)
